Skytrax named Oman Air best business class seats
Oman Air Ranked 4 Star Airline following a recent Skytrax review. In addition, Skytrax has named Oman Air’s Business Class seat as one of the top three business class airline seats in the world.
Oman Air’s new Official 4 Star Airline® ranking signifies that the airline has achieved a good standard of product across all travel categories, with good standards of staff service delivery in both the onboard and airport environments.
The revised ranking follows a period of significant growth and development for the airline, which has seen the introduction of luxurious new Airbus A330 aircraft and the launch of new routes across Europe, the Middle East, East Africa and South and South East Asia.
Oman Air’s inclusion within the top three of Skytrax’s list of the best business class airline seats in the world is a clear demonstration of our emergence as a world-class airline of the very highest quality.

Oman Air flights to Zanzibar Tanzania
Oman Air re-commenced direct services between Muscat and Zanzibar from “16th May 2011”. Flights will operate three times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturday. Zanzibar represents the third destination in Africa and second in Tanzania on the Oman Air growing network.

PHL joins the world's busiest airport, Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International, in adding this new service through Minute Suites that allows passengers to relax, conduct business and even sleep in a small room between flights or during long delays.
"The Minute Suites® is an innovative concept that speaks to the needs of today's air traveler," said Airport CEO Mark Gale. Beginning June 1st, daily parking rates at DIA will increase.This will bring Denver International Airport (DIA) more in line with other major airports around the country.Hourly rates in all parking lots will remain the same, making it convenient for customers who visit the airport to pick up and drop off loved ones.
Effective June 1, 2011, maximum daily rates will be:
Pikes Peak and Mt. Elbert: $7 (currently $6)
East and West Economy lots: $11 (currently $10)
East and West Garage: $21 (currently $18)
East and West Valet: $30 (currently $27)
“DIA is focused on increasing revenue we receive from non-airline sources, which attracts increased air service and is a direct benefit to travelers from around the Denver and Rocky Mountain region,” said John Ackerman, DIA’s chief commercial officer. “This planned increase to our parking rates not only brings the airport approximately $17 million in additional annual revenue, it also brings us more in line with other major airports across the country.”
DIA last raised rates for the parking garages in 2005. Daily parking lot rates for the East and West economy lots and in the Pikes Peak and Mt. Elbert shuttle lots were last raised in July 2009.

Shorter travel time, access to more than 40 additional daily flight connections on SAS, and better facilities for passengers. A new partnership between SAS and CPH is expected to attract more than 200,000 additional transfer passengers per year.
In the course of the year, SAS and CPH will reduce the minimum connection time to 30 minutes for all flights from the so-called Schengen countries.
By reducing the minimum connection time, Copenhagen Airport and SAS will be placed considerably higher on the lists of the attractive search engines and sales systems around the world which identify possible and fast travel itineraries.
With a new strategic partnership, Copenhagen Airports (CPH) and SAS are taking a major step towards making Copenhagen Airport one of the very best transfer airports in the world and the leading international traffic hub in northern Europe.
43 new attractive flight connections via Copenhagen
The initial focus will be on the six airports from which SAS carries the largest number of passengers via Copenhagen to other parts of the world. SAS and CPH have now reduced the minimum connection time from 40 to 30 minutes for passengers flying via Copenhagen to or from Stockholm, Gothenburg, Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger and Helsinki (see example below). This means shorter travel time for passengers because they can connect faster to one of the 43 additional flights per day that will be available as a result of the shorter transfer time. It is expected that the initiative will initially result in up to 50,000 transfer passengers per year.

In addition to becoming more attractive to passengers using Copenhagen Airport as a springboard, the partnership will also have a favourable impact for passengers starting or ending their journeys in Copenhagen.
